Let It Go

Welcome to our blog – a space for clients, friends and like-minded people to follow our journey and share in some yarns – Care to Move style.

Needless to say, we are very exited to be here, working in the move management space. We specialises in assisting older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation and/or aging in place.

Thanks to Handled with Care for your support in this venture, we could not have done it without your and your blessings.

For us, listening to and going with clients’ on their journeys is paramount to what we do. We hope you can come along with us for the ride.

What’s your situation? Do you have an interesting story to tell?

What sort of person are you? Do you love organisation and living clutter free?

Are you someone who strives for clutterless living but feels overwhelmed with too much stuff?

Perhaps you have a deceased estate or loved ones stuff you’re dealing with and don’t know where to start.

Are you a hoarder and find it difficult to give anything away? It’s interesting – Psychology Today points out that perhaps hoarders look at something as simple as a piece of junk mail and feel it connects to their sense of self, like smoking or OCD behaviours. That letter is “me”; that old chotzke is “me”; that pile of papers is “me.”

This would explain why if you were hoarding, getting rid of something would be painful—it’s a similar feeling to throwing out your own arm.

We all know what it feels like, whether it’s a favourite old T-shirt, every drawing, card, or school assignment from when your kids were at school. It can become compulsive and addictive, depending on your brain’s ability to ignore the urge.

Whatever stage you’re at, your next chapter should enable you to move on, without the heavy baggage holding you back. We want to help, be authentic, spend the time and get to the core.  Get onboard!

Our next blog will help you get started with eight top tips to start decluttering.
